We set off about 08:00 from the layby just west of Achnashellach Station, followed sign to station crossed over track and took farest track to the left. At Approx NG 999 485 took small track down left to gate through forest fence then followed very clear path to NG 990 371, took little detour here to look at possible river crossing for return journey, decided to change planned return route as river Lair was a bit to high for my liking at this point. Retrace path back to NG 990 371, continued on main path to small lochan at NG955 511.

After small break took small path (marked by small cairn) up to small col on ridge above NG 952 511, then turned left to take main ridge to Sgorr Ruadh.

From here we headed down to Loch a Bealach Mhoir.

We crossed over its outflow at the eastern end then followed it down hill until it is joined by another stream coming in from the right.

We crossed back over the stream and made our way to Loch Coire Lair wher we found a faint path around the loch, from here we picked our way back to the main path crossing the Allt Coire Lair on the way (Not quite as deep here as lower down).

From this point it was just an easy walk back down the main track.
