Had planned on just the Donald Chapelgill Hill and the top Cardon hill today.
Lot of forestry going on at the wee copse on your left- it's a mess and where the tracked vehicles are - it's a swamp- so I opted to go back over Culter fell and back down this way rather than ascend up by the woods- which there aren't much of left !!

This was taken on descent

Anyway back up to Culter fell, wet most of the way , but no snow, cold misty and a but windy all the way to the trig.

Down from here following the fenceline on a faint path. When the path starts cutting left and heading down, get up to the the fence and hug this to almost where it cuts round and up towards Chapelgill hill. You'll still get wet and have a few hags to deal with, but it's not so bad .

Memorial still there

Onto the summit, wee break and back down and head up to Cardon hill. It's pick a point on the fencline and aim for it - pathless heather bashing.
Onto the big cairn it is then down and up to the summit proper

Now the descent- you can go all the way back to where the fence cuts off right ( after negotiation with the peat hags again )
Or keep looking ahead and pick the best line heading north . Theres one or two faint atv tracks which will lead back upto the fenceline - missing out most of the swamp and hags
Back to the copse and kept left of the swampy tracks that the diggers have made. Skirted this side of the stream and back on the tarmac
Job done- and another 2 on the 2nd round of Donald's road ( must be mad 😄 )
