With my son's 18th birthday fast approaching I was looking for something different to do to celebrate it. We had done all the usual, football parties, rugby parties, go-karting etc (note to parents of younger children - don't peak too early with party ideas, just remember they have to get more exciting as the kids get older!)

As luck would have it there was an article in the Herald about the launch of the first static Bungee in the UK at the 'Soldier's Leap' in Killiecrankie (very apt). I knew my son would definitely be up for it and I really wanted to do it too. The rest of the family were willing to come along and cheer us on but nothing more.

And so off we went today and we had a fab time. The team of people they have up there are amazing and are constantly doing safety checks and joking with you. Neither myself or Peter were the least bit nervous apart from the very last second when you know you're on your own and the only thing to do is to fling out your arms and go for it! Fantastic..loved it all. I would recommend it to anyone who wanted a great day out :D

Here's a wee bit of what you can expect...

Oops yes it was a wee bit of that! But I prefer to see it as a timely coincidence!

Thanks lomondwalkers. The next time you're up that way, park up at Garry bridge and have a look at the jumpers. You'll see that it's not that bad at all- honest!!
