Well, it seems as if everyone on the website has had an exciting weekends outing…except me.

Due to trapping a nerve in my back last Saturday whilst carrying out the hazardous task of picking up a dropped tent peg, I’ve been staggering around the house with help from my walking poles.

Never-the-less, as the sun was shining this Sunday, I thought I had better get some walking done.

Please do not load the route into your GPS as I cannot vouch for its accuracy.

Hopefully by next weekend, I'll manage something a tad more spectacular. :)

Remember and check tide times. If not, there's always the refuge of the Ship Inn at Elie.
Enjoy.

Already done. I have some geocaches to fall back on plus a bit of walking along Leven Beach.

How much water and calories would you advise people to take for such an expedition, it looks quite tiring, i notice you didn't mention any problems with snow on your route, so am assuming it would be safe to go without crampons.

I was lucky with the liquids as at least 2 points along the route had a steady supply of fresh running water, with a choice of 3 sources in the bathroom and 2 in the kitchen if you count the washing machine inlet.
Calories were not a problem as if you follow a bearing of 325 degrees from the kettle for approx 2 paces, you come across a conveniently placed toaster and fridge.
There was a slight scrambling encounter which I felt was too difficult in my condition, so fried the eggs instead.
The only worry I had along the route was coming to terms with the Corrie that was on the TV at the time. :(

Well, I liked it. But will you have a problem with lots of people coming to walk your house?

Oh no, there's a helicopter just arrived above my house with 18 big white sacks of rubble to be spread out to reduce carpet erosion.
Also, a large cairn of stones has appeared on top of my wardrobe, being the highest point in the bedroom.
The neighbours are also up in arms about the amount of cars being parked and left unattended for up to 5 minutes at a time whilst walkers are 'bagging' their first 'sub 30ft' walk. It's actually more than that as I'm 54ft above sea level. :D

Paul, can I get a dot on the map?

Anyone doing this walk please remember to put your rubber stoppers on the end of the walking poles. Otherwise you will cause serious carpet erosion

Dear Monty,

Thanks for your ecological concerns re my Ikea carpeting.

Anyone wishing to do this walk will find their enjoyment doubled by taking time out at the DFS Range, (also known as Sguirr Sofa), and gazing to the south towards the TV.
There are some wonderful SKY views from this vantage point.
However, a government body ‘Bungalow Baggers Corporation’ has established that to look at anything other than the Sky requires a fee of £145.50.
Also, should you wish to see even more of the sky, this will also cost extra.

This walking malarkey is becoming expensive. :?

Steve, I'm glad to see you have your loo-roll so that the loose end hangs down 'in front of' the roll, rather than 'behind' it. There are actually people who have it the other way round! Yeah, I know, unbelievable, isn't it?! :wtf: :D

It is hard to believe some people can get the loo roll dilemma so wrong.

I bought that particular batch of Andrex from my lottery winnings, and it was definitely a roll-over that week.

Also in the winter, the front loading option is useful when wearing gloves. :)
