This was a Scottish Midweek Mountaineering Club meet, parked at Dalnaspidal and crossed the A9 then uphill quite steeply to get onto the ridge to Druim Coire Mhic-sith, going on the ridge was excellent with just some short heather and dry underfoot. First objective was Glas Mheall Beag, then on to Glas Mheall Morbefore crossing a slightly more haggy asrea to A'Bhuidheanach Bheag, the day was nice and clear but that whole upland area is quite flat and full of peat hags so could be difficult in poor visibility. From the trig followed the fenceline to the other 936m point before heading to Meall a' Chaorainn, the true objective for today and a deleted Munro top, yes, I really am that sad. From here descended to the Wade road and back to the car.

Good walk, but if you had’ve carried on NNE from Glas Mheall Mor to Cuirt Chuile you would have come across the remains of McAras Stone and Bothy. Unfortunately the bothy which was like a stone coffin for one with large slabs for a roof is no longer viable.
