With my gammy knee playing up for the last two weeks I bailed out on the Roy Bridge meet (hope you are all having a great time) and had resigned myself to maybe getting out nearer home with something nice and easy to test the knee, that was until I got a text on Thurs night from JB saying he was heading to Glenshee to finish of two munro"s from the ski centre.
So here we were bright and early parked at the "Devils Elbow" gearing up for the day ahead, when out the corner of my eye a car stopped on the A93,reversed back and pulled into the carpark, the driver got out and made a bee line straight for me and said "I know your face",your gammy leg walker, taken aback somewhat,I mumbled "who are you"to which the reply was "rockhopper".I must have a face thats hard to forget.
Nice meeting you "rockhopper" hope you had a good day on Lochnagar.JB and I did the route the reverse way from WH as JB only had Creag Leacach & Glas Maol to do on this round, and I was happy to get out,do these two and then see how the knee was shaping up before making a call whether to carry on,or bail out once these two were done.
As always, the day ahead was walked in the clag all day, with no views anywhere,so I did not take many pictures, apart from some summit views.

Like I said not too many views anywhere today, and with only one car it meant we were facing a 5k walk back up the A93 to get back to the Devils Elbow, and my car.We did try and hitch a lift back, but for some reason, even though plenty cars passed, none seamed to want to stop, and JB and I were at a loss as to why

Cant see any reason not to stop
Never mind four more in the bag, knee held up fairly well, and a good day was had in JBs company

I did consider wearing shorts "polly33",but was mindfull that the A93 can be very busy and did not want any accidents on my account with drivers being distracted looking at my legs

Great effort Gammy, shame about the weather (again  ) real pain that you didn't get a lift as that road walk can be a real spoiler at the end of the day - still the leg held up mate and that's always a good thing :D

Thanks Chris, wanted to carry on and bag Tolmount & Tom Buidhe, but new we had that road walk back to the car and did not want to push my luck too far, only problem now, still got them to do and dont fancy walking from Loch Callater & a 10hr day, having a wee look at going from Glen Doll Lodge in Glen Clova, following "Jock"s Road",then over "Crow Craggies",,then just reverse the route, but not sure how long this will take
