twas a shame you couldn't make the meet Gammy. Good to see you back on the hills albeit in driech, driech "gammy" conditions.....

as for the Tolmount & Tom Buidhe from GlenDoll approach; it's a good walk and I've done it a good few times now although I'd say that the actual summits are pretty dull (particularly Tom Buidhe). Great gradual incline through Doll & Jocks Bog/Road; decent path for "most" of the way up to Crow Craigies. A good route exists to go North from CC to Loch Esk and round through Moulnie Craigs to mix up the journey back to GlenDoll.

Sound effort from you guys, (100 no far away). Beautiful part of the world where you were. Did you see the 2 statues at the ski centre? I sat on them when I went up to Braemar in March

I did Tolmount and Tom B. last year, will post in your other thread :D

I find that as long as you have great company, then lack of views doesn't matter so much (maybe that's just me - I dunno)

Nice meeting you Gammy and JB. Yup - you do have a face that's hard to forget 8)

I was wearing shorts - but then again only one of my legs is like yours

Reflecting on it, meeting you meant that the clag would be passed on to me - Saturday morning and afternoon I hardly saw a thing all the way round Loch Muick ! Got back this evening - still have walk reports to do.

Definitely wouldn't take it personally. I never got a lift up that road either :( Think we had a better day than you but it's always good to knock 4 off in a day!

Love your report "g/leg walker"! Just did Glas Maol & Creag Leacach from Cairnwell end 14/08/13, like you tried to hitch lift back up back up the glen to car park, and nae takers - but thought we saw Prince Andrew in landrover go shooting by!
