Long day when travelling up to this group from Livingston but a 5am start with a couple of pick-ups in Larbert and we arrived ready for action (after our customary pit-stop at Tarvie services for breakfast!) at around 10:30am. Our other walking buddies travelled over from Portree.

Followed the very good path from the main car park (left another car at the car park 2km east to help at the end) up the Coire Dubh Mor

The path headed up in between Beinn Eighe and Liathach
. Weather was cloudy but the rain stayed off until we reached the magnificant Coire Mhic Fhearchair

where we were looking forward to the views across the Lochan to the Triple Buttress. Unfortunately, the views were hindered by the low cloud base but we still stood in awe looking across

After a quick lunch break by the lochan (sheltered by a nice large rock) we headed round the path towards the scree climb up the ridge with a slight detour to pay homage to the plane wreck and view some of the debris

Enjoyed the scramble up the scree to the ridge then a 15 min walk to the summit of Ruadh-stac Mor

At the summit of Ruadh-stac Mor. Although it may look calm it was very very mork and mindy!
. The wind really picked up here and we were buffeted from either side. Quick photo at the cairn then back down to the col for a coffee break where we met another group who attempted Spidean Coire nan Clach but turned back due to the wind conditions.

We decided to take our chances. We have been out in a lot worse! When following the path, we took the left fork up to the ridge and continued our traverse of the ridge past the trig point to reach the summit

A walk back to the trig point and a path leading SSE down to a cairn

then a straightforward walk back to the other car park approx 2km east of the main car park.

Due to time constraints we only completed the two 'Munro tops' but would love to go back in better weather and complete the full range.

Back to Kinlochewe for a quick customary pint (ginger beer and lime for me!) and set off for long drive south.

Only sour note, watch out for speed traps by the local force!! Laying hiding in a layby on the A832 by Achanalt!!!
