Before we started the walk we sat a while in the beer garden outside the Wineport Bistro. This is a lovely beer garden and overlooks an overgrown field where spotted flycatchers spend their days chasing insects. We saw their nest in a hole in a wall. There aer lots of house martins too, they nest under the eaves of the Arran Brewery.
We set off slowly as we always do so we can enjoy everything there is to see, birds, insects, plants and views. This particular area of woodland has a lot of interesting trees.

It's a pleasant, undemanding walk, though the number of sidepaths increases the chances of getting lost. This does mean more chances to see lovely views!

After the walk we went back to the beer garden for more birdwatching!
