We headed into Fort William late Monday night getting there around 22:00
setting up the tents next to two guys who were sitting beside a fire drookit and reakin, as we walked closer to say hello the empty box of wine was tossed into the fire. We asked if we could join and were told yes.
i started putting up my tent.

it took me 9.25 minutes to pitch (I was told by one of the drunk men sitting at the fire)
it then rained i quickly got the dog and myself into the tent out of it and we had some dinner together.
the rain got heavier and we just slept it was quite warm i didn’t bring a mattress or anything and was sleeping on top of my sleeping bag was quite warm.
we woke at 0500 and ate, packed up camp and after putting a car at the Glen Nevis visitor centre and leaving one at the Car park in Glen Nevis we started walking around 0800 ( a bit shocking I know)

it looked like we got the rain that was forecasted for Tuesday in a onner while we were sleeping there was still some low-lying cloud so we had some good on and off views of the Mammores and Ben Nevis

We walked pasty the normal route that heads up to the coirre between CMD and The Aonnachs instead I missed out on Sgurr Choinnich mor last time i wss in the Grey corries so the other guys offered to accompany me up my last one (even thou they didn’t climb any of them before)
it was quite a slow accent but we had catching up to do. And playing with the dogs was good fun.

once we got over 1000M we were in the cloud so we didn’t stay in the summit if Sgirr choinnich mor to long

we then got a good look at our route up and had to pick one the next pictures are of our accent which was amazing and i’m sure is the road less traveled up the entrance to the Aonachs.

as we neared the top we were almost crawling as the rock was getting lower and lower nad the ground was loose scree and mud from the rain the last couple of days, the dogs were slipping! They needed a little help from us to get them on top of the last part of the ridge.

we were met and the top with glorious sunshine and midges!! And stunning views of the rick just climbed and the Mammores and Grey Corries

we made our way back down out ofthe cloud to the Belach and left out rucksacks and Climbed Aonach Mor

We were planning CMD and Ben Nevis next but as we reached the Bellach and our Rucksacks the rain that had been so nice to us all day and kept away got us so we decided that we wanted to walk the Arete in good weather and it was for another day. We descended down into the coirre and along the glen back to Glen Nevis

it was a long walk back and i wasn’t speaking as I was totally shagged,
once to the cars we said goodbye and headed off in our different directions.
Great day and great guys to walk with the next day my dog didn’t leave the couch as he couldn’t move he was so tired the wee soul.
