Added Cairn a'Mhaim to this route. Would definitely recommend taking a bike to Derry Lodge as it is a long way back to the car park.

Another idea is wild camping the night before the walk at Derry lodge as it looked ideal and would save you about 1 hour in the morning.

Great walk with stunning scenery from the summit of Ben Macdui. The ridge from Ben Macdui to Carn a'Mhaim has excellent views of the Lairig Ghru and the Devils Point.
