As it was such a lovely day today, we decided to head out to the March Trail in Banchory and combine it with the climb to Scotly Hill. We arrived in Banchory around 4pm and set off through a lovely forest. We made our way to a landrover track and then turned off for the uphill climb to General William Burnett's monument at the summit. It was hard going uphill, as the heat was immense and flies were everywhere. The lack of breeze didn't help either. We finally reached the top and climbed the monument where we got a lovely view and breeze.

We headed back down to the red trail again and went through some more forest. Kamila found a lizard climbing a tree. We got back to the car 2 hours later and set off for home.

A fantastic route.
