From the Car park at Wanlockhead mining museum cross the road and head for the last house on road to Dumfries. Just before a quad bike track heads up the hill follow this uo till bewtween Black Hill and Green Hill (track becomes a good road) Turn right up another quad bike track to top of Green Hill. Continue across top on faint path to wall on Stood Hill. Continue on faint path/quad bike tracks allong fence to cross Glenbager hill before fropping down to Southern Upland Way. Follow back to car park
