A good day on Ben Vane
Posted: Sat Aug 20, 2011 11:12 pmWe wer'e really looking forward to this climb but anticipated that it would be a bit tough going based on the reports posted on WH. The weather looked as if it was going to hold out with just the odd heavy cloud here and there.
We headed up the private road and eventually found the path after walking by it initially.
The walk up to start with was really heavy under foot and as you hit the hill the climb is pretty steep from the onset
Weather holding out so far!
