Despite the strong wind on setting off we were determined to walk somewhere today. At least the rain stayed away.
It took a while to figure out where to park but once we found our path we climbed quickly.

The ascent was a quick one to the top of the ridge and the views over the reservoir were well worth battling the wind.

Muddy at times the descent down the end of the ridge was still beautiful and the first view from the north end of the reservoir spectacular.

The walk across the dam allowed a great view of the cliff but provided little challenge for the rest of the walk

I went on exercise here with the TA many years ago, and managed to pierce my eyelid with a pine tree branch! I spent the rest of the day at Stirling hospital, so thanks for the photos
