Our last full day on Skye and with Rick developing a cold after yesterdays walk on Storr, we decided to do a little bit more sightseeing instead of our planned Quiraing walk and after ending up in Uig, we remembered the Fairy Glen was nearby.

Uig.

Feeling a little bit better after doping Rick up on Lemsip, we set off down the minor road and parked next to the small lochan. We set off up the small hills and took in the amazing view.

I used to think Ferns only grew in warm climates...

Magical, yes.

At the back of the hills on the road side is an old ruin and a stunning waterfall.

Old ruins and a waterfall.

We finished the walk quite quickly and drove back to Portree for a BBQ and then packed up ready for our return to Aberdeen the following day. What a wonderful week we had on Skye.
