A good day on Beinn Ghlas and Ben Lawers in a variety of weather conditions - sunshine, wind, drizzle, rain, horizontal rain and torrential rain!
Started as a family walk but my eldest son turned back 2/3rds of the way up Beinn Ghlas due to boots causing blisters, so my wife went with him.
Onwards and upwards with Thomas (14) fairly quickly to the top of Beinn Ghlas, the weather still ok.

Along the ridge to Ben Lawers and up to the summit. Now turning cooler and windy - so why am I wearing shorts!!

- Shorts seemed like a good idea when we started!
Back down Ben Lawers and follow the path to the right around Beinn Ghlas. Now the horisontal rain arrives, so on with the waterproofs. 10 minutes later bright sunshine so off with the waterproofs and back to shorts / Tshirt.
As we enter the nature reserve it starts to drizzle, my words of wisdom " Its not far we wont get that wet so coats will be fine!" - How wrong, torrential rain. We arrive back at the car absolutely soaked.
Still an enjoyable walk, my count is up to 5 and Thomas is now on 3!
