Stunning pictures and great report Chris. (And your butterfly is so lovely - I can never get that close to one). All your pictures come out great. Looks a lovely walk.

I really am missing being out in the hills :(

No Chris, you've not missed anything. Been on night shifts for a month and under the weather for a wee while but hope to get out again when feeling better. Might start with a local hill in Angus or Clachnaben next week :)

A month of nights, damn that's harsh....probably why you've been feeling under the weather - get yourself out there and blow the cobwebs off

Just the caliber of photo quality I have come to expect, Chris! Gorgeous as always!!! I love the forest shots...forest walks don't seem to be very popular in this forum. Is it safe to assume it's because of bugs? Couldn't imagine why else, this area is magnificent! And that winter shot from Alastair is also gorgeous!

Thanks ND, I love a bit of forest wander myself, I think a lot of people walk the forests but don't photograph them much because there in not much by way of a view (other then trees  ) A lot of the walks on here require you to go through a forest first but people seem to save the camera until there is a wider view to capture :D

Interesting that you mention bugs as I am beginning to think we don't have them in the east of Scotland, I've heard people bemoaning the midges over on the west coast as usual but I have never been bitten or suffered fly-bys in the 2 years I've been here.....maybe I smell bad

Hi Chris,

I am looking to organise a run on Hill of Fare. Would I be able to get your original photos and use for the website? They are fantastic photos.

Let me know if this is possible and I can send you my details.

Thanks,
Gareth
