Meall a' Bhuiridh and Creise

+At last Munroe number 2 and 3. What a day ,2 men (myself and Rocket Ron), 1 car(volvo) and 1 dog (Charlie), oh and the weather (Scottish) **** rain (please excuse the language). So anyways we set off bleak and early at 7am this morning and we arrived at the ski centre just about 9am so perfect timing to set off and get 2 Munroes bagged.

This was my first outing with Rocket and Charlie and it was a good day all and all apart from, but hey as Ron says if we waited for a good day we never get them done.
We followed the path which by now resembled a stream in many ways and i'm wondering just how long my feet are going to stay dry so i'm dodging and jumping over all the wet bits.
We climbed up in good time reaching the top of the first summit(Meall a' Bhuridh) with absolutley no views whatsoever, so there was no hanging about.

After a quick snack and a drink we were off down the slippery rocky slopes to the ridge which would take us to our second of the day(Creise).

I took a couple of slippery moments, (none in my boxer shorts thankfully) but all was ok. We made the short work of the wee steep climb up to Creise and i was especially impressed with Charlies scrambling abilities.

Then a short walk and we had nailed the second.

Another munch a couple of pictures later and its time to turn and go. Off back to first summit where i had left my new water bottle like an idiot. A well deserved drink ensued by the time we got there.
The descent was really fast and at times really slippy myself having another moment and i think Ron had 1 or 2 near misses aswell.
Thankfully we made it down in 1 piece if not a really down right drenched piece, but all is good i enjoyed the day and it was really good to get a couple of Munnies in the bag so cheers Rocket Ron and Charlie until the next time.
Oh we did manage some pictures with the little opportunities we had in the day so as they say in gaelic (Sin agad e).

very windy. One of the worst days i have been out. Knew it was goig to be bad so we did a short walk

Hi thanks for the pics of Charlie and Barney...absolutely fabulous. What gorgeous dogs - I'm in love. I had a black lab up to a year ago. We used to do a lot of walks together. I was devoted to him and I AM lost without him!! (....My girlfriend's wondering how she manages to get passed over by a dog)

Nice report mack3n21e. Charlie looks great in that last photo. We had similar weather up north on Saturday on the Walkhighland meet up. The views are stunning from creise on a good day. Hope your catching the bug. 3 down 280 or 279 to go.

Thanks for the nice comments about charlie. He has now got just over 100 munros done. He is the reason i started hill walking. but my other dog Barney will sadly no longer becoming out on the hills with me and charlie. As the vet told us today he has arthritis in both his front legs. He is only 20 months old
