well after my 3rd attempt of the bidean i eventually reached the summit ..15 yrs later..myself and davie set off from the carpark where the lone piper usually stands belting out some scottish tunes..from here we followed the path up to the right ..it was quite mild although the weather didnt look that gr8 up above in the valley..we stopped for a cpl of minutes to admire the red deer that were happily grazing just above us..the further up we were going the more i started to look back down the valley and across to the A.E trying to judge the height we were..well what can i say the scenery is breathtaking..we came to the lochans and headed up to the right where we were fortunate to get a cpl of photos of the A.E and a glimpse of glencoe village and further down to the ballachulish ridge efore the mist came in at a rapid pace..of we went up the ridge where we came across the cairn of stob nan lochan where we sat under a bivvy shelter from the wind and drizzle for a well deserved sandwich and bar of chocolate..by this time 2 other walkers were on our heals so we let them by after a 2 min gab..well onwards and upwards as they say ..as the mist cleared for a cpl of seconds there it was..the last climb up to the summit..a cpl of times it was white knuckles as the mist cleared and i seen where i came from(seems weird to say but i aint got a head for heights )..at this point my ankle was giving me probs so i told davie to crack on in front and reach the other munro summit while i took my time down to the beullach where i would meet him and descend into the breathtaking lost valley then onto the carpark where the site of the car was a godsend..the pint of lager in the glencoe hotel was even better..now looking fwd to my next venture..well happy walking folks
