I am a newcomer to this site, I wish I had found it before, but there you go. I have done this walk many times over the years, and for someone like me who is not a climber or scrambler (I don't like heights) it is ideal! I have also done this walk in the depths of winter, and found that if you wish to spend a couple of days out there, the best sheltered place for a tent is tucked in behind the old MacKinnon house (having first obtained permission from Glenbrittle Farm). There have been countless times that I have seen Ospreys, Eagles and Basking Sharks out here.
There is also another walk in the opposite direction from Glenbrittle towards Glen Eynort, following the coastline and then cutting back across the aird. There isn't a well-defined path, in fact there isn't a path, but the views are wonderful and because there aren't any mountains there are very few people as well!! If done at the right time the dubh-lochans are usually covered in water-lillies, a wonderful sight!! Enjoy :D
