Thanks for the company and tagging along on these 3 munros.. it was a long day and would have been longer on my todd. What you forgot to mention about your first camping experience is that i pitched the tent while you were in the car keeping warm and that i cooked the dinner..then you moaned about doing the washing up! :)

Shhooooh :shh: Yeah but the sink was outside and 1k away  Pasta took a minute to cook - dishes took 20mins outside and a 2k walk....hell im going to do a TR for doing the dishes. I then had to again get out the tent as you left your lights on, woman drivers

Short day for me MT but glad to be supportive  . Enjoyed it thoroughly, the walk back in the dark moonlit sky was brill. . . .being so remote.

Great report and pictures - the close up of the stag is amazing :D  I just love this area and these hills. I did them the reverse to you, so had the pleasure of the long walk back, but then it was in the summer - so not too bad as I had the light. But it was still boggy though; a given for most Scottish hill walks this year me thinks

Think you have to be really passionate about the hills to trudge through the bog but the result on top is fab and well worth it. Im glad we did it clockwise though.

Excellent report which brought back some great memories! :D

I also encountered the stags on our trip, one in particular was very easy going and kept approaching the van. With the antlers, I was a wee bit wary of it getting so close. It had a definite taste for 'Golden Grahams' if I recall

Great report D with some beautiful photos (the morning and evening ones are really stunning) I confess to never having spent the night in a tent in the hills and if 4 pairs of socks won't keep out the chill I certainly won't be doing so in the near future

Back in style DB!!! 8) Some cracking pics there. I'm beginning to think I'm the only one that didn't get a Broken Spectre at the weekend  Hope the knee isn't feeling any bad reaction to the walk :)

Nice one Doots - it's a fairly rough area.

Camping can be addictive.

Although between gas canisters and a lack of mirrors you might not look up to your usual standards in the mornings!
