Looks like two fine mountains to temporarily end your Munro bagging days. I'm hoping to get these two done before the end of the year but it's looking unlikely now. Good luck when you head back to America and sorry i can't make the Cobbler on Saturday

Great stuff there Stretch, with some great atmospheric photos. You will be much missed but I'm sure you'll still be a few visitor, both to this site & these shores.

Know what you mean about getting out of shape in no time. Had a nice long holiday but unfortunately broke a toe towards then end, which added 3 more week to the hill-walking break. So had a near two month break and sure felt in on Saturday. Sensibly I chose a Saturday to allow me to recover for work - just as well I did - I was tucked up in bed by 8pm

Take care

Good stuff big man. Being in America now myself, it's hard looking at all these reports flood in from a great weekend! Wish I'd found time to get out more before leaving. But I'll be back :)

The hills, forests, waterfalls, trees, trees and some more trees await you over here in the US. Hopefully we'll get a hike somewhere together here some time.

Safe travels :)

You had it a lot better up there than it looked from the Innses - I thought you'd been clagged up all day :D

I headed to McD's to hatch a plan to contact them both. After two tasty cheeseburgers

Do you know, we very nearly decided to head there to look for you

Particuarly as raising (fire) alarms is Alan's job

Been trying to read this all day, but not had a chance. Glad to see you got some reasonable weather for your last Munros, and you did them from the most interesting side too 8) .

Good luck in the future, and I hope to see more reports in the 'Outside Scotland' section in due course :D

Excellent report Stretch of two great hills and one of the best Glens in Scotland (well, in my opinion). Your photos were, as usual, stunning and capture perfectly the stunning scenery in and around Glen Nevis

And you end this chapter of your Highlands adventure on the Cobbler. Another favourite. I hope you have the perfect weather for that one too :D :D

High quality to the end Stretch.   The hills of this country, and this site, will be poorer places for your absence. Sorry I can't make this weekend on the Cobbler but I'm glad I got the chance to meet you and walk with you in Kintail. I'm sure it won't be a case of "Adios", more one of "Hasta la proxima!"

Am planning to do this walk tomorrow and so read your report which I found great. Am a little sad to think that you might have stopped your Munro journey so abruptly. I really hope that you got back and finished them off. I am not going to check just in case you didn't 😜

For a minute there I thought Stretch had posted a new trip report. I see this is a vintage one

Maybe the big man himself will make an appearance here!
