We did this walk on August 20, 2007. Well, not the complete walk, just the part to the first munro, Sgurr na Ciste Duibhe, and back (we didn't have the time for the full traverse because we had to arrive at a B&B in Killin the same evening).
August 2007 was rather wet, but August 20 was the second dry day in a row. Despite of that it was no surprise that the path up the first steep slopes was quite boggy (as mentioned in the walk desription). On the way back it seemed to be better, so maybe you can get quite good conditions if you try this walk on the third sunny day in a row.
The path along the ridge was easy to follow. It's a pleasant walk along an undulating ridge, and the short scramble was not difficult, even for us. We got excellent views in all directions - but they couldn't quite keep up with the stunning views we had from Beinn Eighe the day before.
At least I caught a glimpse of The Saddle for the first time at the opposite side of the road - maybe we'll visit that peak this year (of course avoiding the scrambling section).
