Frogwell wrote:bet you checked your profile though didn't you? :) Anyway, a biomedical chemistry has got to be pretty similar to accountancy I'd have thought.

The trick to the equation is not to think about it logically. In fact, the easiest way is to ignore everything apart from the last number. I tell you, It's a mystery how how I failed my maths O level. Administrative error I suspect.

Music - think white, sequinned flares, big sun glasses and then say thank you, thank you very much in a semi mid-west accent.

Oh right! Does this mean you have left the building??? Or is it Abba? I really don't know! I'm rubbish with music questions!

Mmmm don't you need to be pretty good at maths to get your flying badge type of thing??? If so I'm feeling my desire to going flying with you receding rapidly

As for the equations I use, they really do need to add up or the s##t really does hit the fan!!! Even worse if its a 7 day collection!

Talking of profiles, yours says you're 37, really????

Left the building! Well, actually, no I haven't, I live here, but yes, Elvis it is.

A pilots license requires very little in the way of mathematical ability. Yes, you've got to draw lines and numbers on a piece of paper which is supposed to tell you how long it's going to take you to get where you're going, what direction you've got to point in if the wind is not perfectly in front or behind you, how to compensate for the lies the compass tells and how not to crash into the ground when landing at a different airfield to the one you took off at (or landing at the same one with different pressure settings). Once you've obtained your ticket though you're allowed to forget all that and learn how to fly.

Are you allowed to make mistakes if it's a 5 day collection?

Yup, 37 I am. The number of question marks implies disbelief - is it my youthful, yet ruggedly handsome good looks and energetically buoyant personality that leads you to believe I'm actually 21? I get that a lot.

Can't comment on your looks since you have as yet to reveal yourself!

No its because you said Maths O level rather than Standard Grade.

In ancient times when I sat my exams they were O Levels, in fact you did a separate one for Arithmetic and another for Maths. You'll be glad to know I passed both.

Still a wee bit worried about your flying award, pencils and bits of paper??? Do you mind if I just hold your jacket???

That's me in my avatar - I was going for manly pose. :)

They were just starting to swap over to standard grades in my final year at school. I'm sure one of my exams was a standard grade. I did pass arithmetic, although embarrassingly enough I had to try twice. I'm not the the most gifted at the numbers game it's got to be said. Which is a shame, had I passed my maths exam perhaps I could have been a senior biomedical accountant or something.
