Hello, so you do get some holidays back in your old haunts
I must cycle a bit further on my annual bike trip along the canalside from Inverness....well around once a year the motor ends up in the city for a replacement part or two....bike goes in the back of it....allowing me to do my annual tour
From the end of the canal bit I huff and puff my way up the steepish wee road to Blackfold and then enjoy the fine run back down the 'Way' to the town traffic
when I came along from Fort William on the velo the information, at the time (mid Ninties) said to take the Beauly road for a bit then head up to a phone box Foxhole? and then pleasantly along minor roads before dropping down to the town from the Blackfold area. I guess that I should go back and pedal up the walkers route from Druimnadrochit to reach your 'wee area'......but that main road is not too welcoming towards bikers....I'm maybe too old to face that
I also recall cold dreich wet November days in the area of P. Tranter's bothy.
