As with others before - a good Graham when all the other hills are clagged in.
Left Westhill in a drizzle which was clearing at Braemar. Drove through Mar Lodge (to use up some of my NTS subs)and parked by the road at the start of the path behind Mar Lodge. Followed the track to the style over the deer fence and then about 20m passed the fence a Quad track takes you through the worst of the heather to the top. Not a breath of wind on top with the clag dusting the hills all around. Sun eventually broke through on the way down, with great views up Glen Ey reminding me of a day when we did all the munros from Carn Bhac to the Devils elbow (minus Carn Aosda) back in the last century. God, I wish I still had those leg muscles !
Stopped for a cup of Tea in Braemar before heading back into the Aberdeen mirk, behind the sunday tourists.
