You're a lucky man Stretch. Sounds like you've got quite a lot to look forward to in the US, but it also sounds like you've always got a home the UK. Best wishes to you and your lady. Let's get this N. American meet up going!!!

Great report as always Stretch
It was my privilege to be a part of the Cobbler outing (albeit in the passing). Thanks for your contributions to date, they personify all that is good about WH, though GLW has the halo

This brings tears to the auld peepers. Such a lovely report and heart felt posts.

Best of luck Stretch. You picked the best hill to climb and have fun on. It's one of the best'ns, like yourself...

Be safe, take care of you :)

It's been a while since I've visited WH, or Scotland - too much work again. Strange then that I read your report just when I've been able to grab a couple of days in GOC and straight after my clamber up, yeah, The Cobbler. I was lucky enough to be there yesterday on a fine day sandwiched between the rain and storms.

Your report is striking as ever, I've very much enjoyed reading them and sharing your insight to the special feelings that the Scottish mountains can bring.

All the best in your future and I'm sure you'll be back, long may your feet keep clear of the bog.

Here's a little reminder of your outing ....

I'm a bit late in stumbling on this TR mate.

I got round to trying the chicken wing stuff you left me last night. Cracking stuff. I might have to pay you a visit State-side to sample more culinary delights! Don't worry – I'll bring some butteries in return!

It was great knowing you dude, although I'm pleased I'll have fewer trips to make to the bottle bank now!

Awra best back home and stay in touch.

Oh and thanks for giving me an excuse for throwing a birthday party! As you know, I didn't want to make a big thing of my 29th :shh: but I'm so glad we did. It was a great night.

Same time next year??

29 Stu? Hmmmm, a bit lower than I had guessed at the bonfire

Thanks again for the hospitality on my several trips up to your country resort! Hope Barnie is doing ok in this cold weather. I still need to send you the chicken wing recipe so you can throw a 'wing-night' for your friends.
