What a great send off you had, only wished we could have been there, but Wales was a bit too far away this time, as I'd only just come back from Scotland about 10 days before.
It's been great meeting you on the meets, and the last 2 times were not expected so where a bit of a bonus...seeing you in your hometown of St Andrews and your 11th hour visit to Wales.
Ele and I wish you all the best for the future, you certainly deserve it.
We hope to see you again someday in the future.

Andy it was great meeting you and walking with you. Last Saturday I had one of the best walks that I've had in a long time. We had perfect weather and perfect company, what a great day. Below, is for me, a lasting image of the day. An American, dressed in a kilt, drinking Buckfast on top of The Cobbler. You couldn't make it up, lol, and if we all didn't have the pics to prove it I don't think many would believe us All the best on your return to the US and I look forward to reading your outside Scotland reports as much as I did reading your reports over the past couple of years.

Great report and a great send off! Would have loved to be there myself but as you know, thanks to meeting my wife on this very site I'm now located over in your homeland! We'll get out for a hike or two over here for sure.

I simply cannot wait to get back to the beautiful young lady who eagerly awaits my return. There were rumours at the weekend of plans for a Walkhighlands Wedding Meet-up – like myself, the gang obviously sees the writing on the wall.

Count us in!

Hope we can make it to TN sometime. Google map says I could be at your door in 6 hours! And do give us a shout if you're up our way anytime, including in December as you mentioned. And who knows, perhaps along with ChrisW and ndhudson we'll make the WH North America meet actually happen one time!

I organized and took part in the first big meet-up for the website over Halloween weekend (Oct 2010). There I met a fantastic group of fellow hillwalking enthusiasts, many of whom have become – perhaps unknowingly – part of my support group. The memories of our adventure in Glencoe spawned several more meet-ups in 2011at Aviemore, Roy Bridge, Kintail, and Wales.

Was great to meet you and everyone else at that first meet! (and other times we've walked). Great times and great memories memories...
