So every year West region scout Network take to there local street and take part in a remembrance day parade and service... until now! This year we decided to try raise the bar a little and show that young people are willing to put in that bit extra to show there support for a great cause.

So i now Ben Lomond isnt a big hard hill but almost half the group had never been near a munro before so it seemed like a good place to start. We left the car park at approx 0800. Then up the tourist route and into the fog. Once we reached the summit we proceeded to put on the rest of the uniforms and have a small service and a 2minutes silence as a mark of remembrance before we laid our wreath. After the formalities we dropped down to phtarmigan (sp?) to get out the wind and have some lunch then follow this route back down to the clansman for dinner :D as usual though the summit cleared as we made our way back down the track.

Well done to everyone involved, seem like a great bunch of people

Good to read this report
A number of years ago there was a wreath left at the trig point every year - don't know who did it
Nice to see it being done again - well done
