Checked the MWIS weather was going to go to glencoe NOOOOO chance 70-100mph heavy snow so decided to go east to the CAIRNWELL HILLS to do Carn Aosada , Carn a’Gheoidh ,and The Cairwell.

The Weather was To be not as bad 40-55mph winds with some snow .Left the house picked up scott and maja the lab 06.00got to the Glenshee car park 08.10 about a mile from the car park the snow started sat in the car and got changed into everything that we had in our rucksack couldn’t see much so waited 30 mins to see if the snow might clear as it was quite windy 08.40 away we went got as far as the first ski lift 2mins from the car my boots were not tied right so stopped tightened boots away we go again .

Easy path up to Can Aosada 25 minutes a thought to quick checked gps no at the top wind starting to blow a wee bit harder now photo taken then on we went couldn’t see much every 15 mins checked the gps to see if were on the right path yip the still snowing and the wind made it blow everywhere looked up and seen loch Vrotachan made good progress in the conditions a thought started to climb but not to step on we went to Carn nan Sac.

Said to scott no long nooooo till the second hill he said WHITTTT lol couldn’t hear for the wind still checking the gps on right route had a wee pull up to Carn a’Gheoidh then onto the Cairn the wind and snow was really blown now scott nearly fell over taking my photo MAJA was getting a white coat by nooooo so of we go just off the summit stopped for a piece and a drink of juice 5min stop.

So on to The Cairnwell all of a sudden it started to clear could see a group of 5 walkers coming our way meet the after a 10 min walk had a good bleather wi them, scott new on of the group he used to go to taekwando with him took a group photo for them said enjoy the rest of the walk and away we went by now the skies cleared yeha out came the camera i was snapping like david bailey lol don’t know what I was snapping but it looked FANTASTIC SENERY made good time to The Cairnwell took more pic’s had some juice and chocolate raisins then down by the chairlift 20minutes back at the car ended up being a GREAT DAY

Superb, looks a bit wild up there. Some find these three boring, so the answer to that is, do them in winter. That dog photos brilliant :D

That looks like a lot of fun. A heck of a lot of fun.

My regular walking comrades did these without me and said that they were boring and scarred by all the ski paraphernalia, but I quite fancy doing them with a bit of the white stuff on the ground. And as I'm just 3 away from hitting 100 I've got to try and convince them to do these three again before the end of the year.
