My first munro with Glenrothes club... in the snow... and a santa hat  ...and no need for ice axe or crampons today (still on my 'to acquire' list!)

Landrover track was iced over making it easier walking to stick with the snow at the sides. On reaching the hill the ascent was fairly straight forward although the path iced over in parts (meant the descent was in the heather to the side). As it levelled off the ground became more icy with a lighter covering of snow, with other parts in deep snow.

Stayed bright and fairly clear giving good views, until nearer the top where the clouds came in... too cold to wait around at the cairn so we returned by the same route. For the last half hour, back on the landrover track, the heavy snow came on giving much relief when the bus came in to view :)

Yes and it still works :)

Thanks Dooterbang; they're a friendly group and the organised bus trips make for easier travelling too (with optional napping!)
