I loved the aonach eagach and look forward to a return but dont think im brave enough for these conditions :D

Is it safe to look yet??? :shock: Looks like you had a fab day though, doubt I'll ever have the skills/bottle to do the ridge in those conditions, but looking forward to it in summer 8) Great report!!

cheers dooterbang your not mad, just daft, 9 and 10 hour walks dont go into 8 hours of daylight ! but i no your only trying to get your moneys worth out of that headtorch :D
i didnt plan on doing the ridge, but had to phone mountain thyme before a put on the report, more scared of her than the ridge :lol:

thanks bpro26, the man and wife we met were well kitted out, they were both in the army and both experienced rock climbers, we let them use our rope for abseils and belays and they let us use theirs so it worked out quite well for both parties. snow and ice create different problems than just rock, and the photo,s dont really show the exposure on both sides of the ridge.

that's one I definitely don't feel jealous about! I did it years ago in lovely summer sunshine, might do it again in lovely summer sunshine!

You certainly look like you had a great time on the ridge. I wish I had the b***s to be able to do these on a sunny summers day, but I don't so there's no way I would ever be up there in winter :lol: Hats off to all of you though. Great report and pictures 8)
