Weather fantastic.

Willie, Pauline, Alan, Ron, Paul & I.

Left the Blair Atholl car park in the dark. Walked up the long track, through the diamond shaped gate. Very slippy with everyone taking a tumble at some point. Pauline coming of worst of all. Strike left up the nose of the hill on a good but still slippy track. Stoped for an early lunch at a spot out of the breeze. Did a bit of sledging. Heading north east before doing a dog leg north west to the summit. To try to save some K by dropping into the corrie to follow the Allt Craoindh. Very deep snow made hard going. Sometimes waist deep, with hidden burns to drop into. Once back to the track 9K more to the car.

All in a hard but great day in the good company of new friends.

i know what you mean.Snow always fills the corries. That gem of wisdom came to me when we were waist deep.

Hopefully meet up on the 2nd. I'll put some ideas up after Christmas. Have a good one.

Buff, thought it was a willie warmer.

So you & Alan were thinking the same as me,wrong move droping into that gully, deeper snow & avalanche risk was a lot higher, think you and me did want to follow that ridge line, need to force this a wee bit more next time J.
