As I haven't done trip reports through the year, I thought I'd share all of them with you in the one thread...
Brown Carrick Hill - 18 JanuaryA nice easy start to the year with the highest point locally.
- The Carrick Hills
- Del Boy in residence?
- Rainbow over Ayr
- View to Ailsa Craig
Cairn Table - 20 JanuaryHaving visited Muirkirk throughout my childhood and my Great Uncle telling me tales of the 'Cairn Table Bears' and how they used to come down to his hut most nights, this was always on my to-do list! A crisp winter's day for this short climb.
- Starting point...
- A bear footprint perhaps? :D
- Approaching the summit
- A wee inversion for my trouble!
- View over Muirkirk
Arrochar Alps - Easter WeekendTook the train to Arrochar & stayed at the campsite for 3 nights. Here was my itinerary for the weekend:
Friday - Ben Vane
Saturday - Beinn Narnain & Beinn Ime
Sunday - The Cobbler
Ben VaneWalked through Glen Lyon on a roasting hot Good Friday, hazy views all round unfortunately
Beinn Narnain & Beinn ImeThankfully a little cooler for these two but nothing in the way of views from Narnain higher up
- My target tomorrow!
The CobblerAnother miserable day for any sort of views from the top
To be continued...
