This walk took us just under seven hours for the round trip from the Lawers Hotel. We walked to the Lochan nan Cat and went to the bealach between Meall Garbh and An Stuc, rather than follow the Meall Greigh/Meall Garbh ridge as we had climbed both of those before. The scramble up the northeast side of An Stuc was very enjoyable. The descent was more awkward as we missed our line of ascent which lay to the righthand side (looking down). We were okay but inexperienced walkers could find this intimidating. All in all it was a superb day and Lochan nan Cat is a very special place.
