The Pass of Drumochter - time to park up and explore!

It was midnight and one Sunday was left before getting properly back to work. Valerie and I made our minds up that a good walk was required to stretch the legs. Could we manage a couple of munros and still get back to do things at home the following night?
The answer was to begin our trips to the Pass of Drumochter. So used to driving straight through and further north, even the car flew straight past Balsporran Cottages, but on return after spinning around outside North Drumochter Lodge we were parked up, togged up and ready to roll. In the carpark we met two familiar looking characters (spiderwebb and skoob999).....and a great day followed. I will let the pictures do most of the story telling with this one, what fun and friendship was had ... :D :D

Just what was needed to start off the walks of 2012, after an attempt on Ben More (Mull) on 30/12/11 and another recce of an alternative route on 02/01/12. Thanks again to spider and skoob99 for their company round these two fun mountains, and hope you enjoyed the rest of your walk after leaving us on A' Mharconaich :D

Great you & Val are out & about making friends. I was walking there when you did Oss & my mate Harry lost his camera in November. What are the chances. We nearly climbed the first munro twice looking for it.

Hi Bod
It was great to walk with you and val, a good laugh and i hope we can walk with you again sometime.
The weather deteriated on the way to Ben Udlamain the wind was making it difficult to stand up so we abandoned our attempt at Sgairneach Mhor and to say it was a slog back to the car would be an understatement! :(
And managed to get my feet soaked crossing the river
All in all a good day :D

A nice report Bod :D Great pictures too :D I really enjoyed these two when I did them just before Christmas. It looks like you all had a good day on the hills, So far 2012 has been a hillwalking disaster for me, but I've everything crossed that I can finally get started this weekend :D

How come I missed this one, Bod! :-? It looks like you had a great day out amongst the snows of Drumochter! :D I'm fascinated by the way snow can look so blue at times! Valerie told me about the burn you had to ford - I hadn't realised that it was a raging torrent! Cheers! 8)
