What a cracking start to 2012. Was planning on going a bit further afield by due to my present lack of full Winter kit i opted for a local hill to build on my stamina and knowledge of the Ochils. I must admit, i was not disapointed. This was the first time right enough that ive ventured out on these hills and them being clag free 8)
I chose the more taxing ascent from Blairlogie car park. I took a right once over the style, followed the tractor path upwards and that was that basically

A sunny Dumyat

Thought it was high time i gave this scrambling milarcky a bash. I chose the steeper aspects of the hill and i felt pretty good by the time i reached the summit. Dare i say i had a bit of reserve left in the tank. It was good to chat with a few senior citizens at the top. I so hope im out there when im at that elder years phase.

In the spirit of my new found sense of adventure i descended what was propbably the more trickier option. I've got it in the back burner that when i do get out on the big boys i will need to be prepared for a bit of handwork and trickery

Just came down that bad boy

Towards the end i felt in many ways i had missed the opportunity of heading out with JohhnyCorbett on probably more exciting hills but i had a quite satisfaction as to what i had achievied. I've got a wee sneaky that this wont be my last venture on this hill.

Looks like an ideal hill to sneak in before lunch. It looks very interesting as well, I love photo 3! Must explore the Ochils.
