Last week we were trying to do the glenshee 6 but only managed four of them . So this walk was to return and do the other 2 Glas Maol and Creag Leacach .
It was Alec's turn to drive this week so we set of a bit later 06.30 an extra hour in bed set of up the road very quiet for a saturday moring arrived at the carpark at the devil's elbow at 08.25 sat in the jeep for 15 mins to let the sleet pass over so we got ready in the jeep.Started the walk at 08.45
Made good time upto the middle between Meall Gorm and the shoulder of Creag Leacach its quite a pull up to it for me I was sweating like hell fleece of then fleece on stopped to take some pic's of the surounding hills
We coud see the snow coming from the north west put on the waterproof jacket just in time as we made our way to the summit the wind what was to be around 50/60 mph was more like 70/80mph it was shoving us up the shoulder of the hill plus the path was solid with ice but didn't need the crampons.
up onto the 943 mtr to the cairn sat there for 5mins to check the gps a further 0.7klm to the real summit followed the stone dyke 10 mins later we were there.
On we went a nice ridge walk sort off Alec on his way to Glas Maol By now the wind was blowing like mad probably justing to about 90mph it was blowing us of our feet went to take a pic of the hills when my hat blow right of ma heed away a went after it nae chance of getting it the wind just picked it up and bye bye to the hat had my balaclava on though a quick bit to eat and were off straight into the bitter wind had to stop put on goggles ahhh that's better can see where am going nae mair photo's from here as the snow came on for the rest descent now the stats thats all folks bye p.s the stats pic was took in the house after i got back
