Starrynights - thanks for identifying the birds, I wasn't 100% sure. I have seen them before on other hills in the same area in the winter months..

Pity about the photographs though, all those hills have managed to obscure any beautiful pylons :( :(

Hi Martin, sounds like you had a great time up the hill. Fantastic pictures and I guess that's the prize for such an early start. Thanks again for a good report and going up there this weekend but not quite as early as you.
