Thanks Polly, We didn't use them at all that day but the conditions were perfect i.e. the snow wasn't frozen hard enough, for 99% of the route, to make the going slippy. I wouldn't be up there without them though as another day could be very different!

Great repoert and stunning pictures Did these two myself in winter and had a similar day, although the Grey Corries were in cloud. The view to the Ben, CMD and the arete are absolutely fantastic on a day like you had

Walk duration ... could be shortened considerably by leaving out the many photo stops and frequent breaks just to soak up the views.

Ah, no no no. Soaking up the views, that's the whole purpose of a walk like this. And when you read the comments above, I'd say the photo stops were a good idea too!
Love how the Ben looks quite a peaky peak from out east.
