Lord Arthur on a Sunny Day

At last we had a nice day to climb Lord Arthur and boy was it a sunny one! Leave the car as usual by the Tulloch road end on the Alford to Lumsden road and walk up the tarred road to the farm. At a cattle grid turn left into woodland, head along the edge of the wood until you reach a stile. Over the stile and turn right to get on to a nice track which goes right to the top. You can't go wrong, just remember to turn right again on to the summit track once you are almost there. Lovely views as you can see. Unfortunately we lost Hamish when he got the scent of roe deer. He was gone for nearly 2 hours. We hung around until almost dusk and he eventually turned up, totally exhausted but happy. No more off lead running around for him for the moment anyway.
