I have just read your very impressive report of Five Sisters walk finishing in the dark! I was there a couple of days ago and had very similar experience! Did all 6 Munros (brothers and sisters), started descent from Sgurr Fhuaran at 18.00 in twilight. Went down SW ridge as seemed quickest. At valley floor about 1930 - much bottom sliding on way down, kept losing path. Foolishly didn't bring headtorch so relied on mobile phone light. Very wet and boggy, uncertain of route in total dark, many trees blocking way as well as river. Got stuck in the bit of land between the two limbs of Loch Shiel - had to retrace and detour round. Very relieved to get to road at 08.55. In retrospect, wish I'd waded river (tho as you say it's very hard to judge depth etc esp in dark) or kept contouring hill to avoid the horrendous valley floor!

Sorry I need to correct error in my previous post - my return to road (at Shiel Bridge) was at 8.55pm, not 08.55!
