Perhaps the only thing in the world that man cannot alter is the weather and yet it is so important to all those who enjoy the outdoors. Do you go out despite the weather forecast being dull and wet, hoping against all odds most of the time, that the weather forecasters are wrong and the views will be okish, (at the most!) or do you listen to them, stay indoors and sit beside the fire and read a book epecting another claggy day?
Well after having my days off at work changed at the last moment and missing a cracking day the week before, I was itching to get the boots on and some fresh air. So the day was planned, two munros south of Crianlarich on a promising weather forecast brightening up from the north.
After a slight change of plan though at the last moment, with belief in the forecast of brighter weather coming south and to leave the dull damp weather in Crianlarich behind, we drove back up north to Ben Challum. Little did we anticipate the fantastic glorious day we were in for..............after we had gone through the clouds.
One of the best days for views I have on the hills, so just a small selection to share
