My first outing since Oct 2011 due to a back injury and I was really looking forward to getting out especially as I thought it was a nice wee easy one to break myself in after not being out for 3 months.

Forgot though that we still had to make our way up the long track from Old Blair car park through Glen Tilt up past Forest Lodge before our ascent up this hill.

We decided to bring the bikes to give us a head start which was a good shout.

After the long cycle in, the hill itself was fairly straightforward and the snow / ice made it a bit more challenging than normal (ice axes and crampons to the ready)
