In no time we hit the summit of Glas Maol and a nice big sgoth/cloud landed on us, so no visibility and a grand collection of folks at the Cárn and being busy we did nt stop for long and set off again .....following a few peeps who set of just before us ...no need to look at a mapa on this wee hill .....as my companions trusted my inbuilt compass: 8)

As we hit the Bealach a road and ski centre appears to our right (SW) ...... we ve been here before!! .... aye just 30mins ago !

look familiar ?

A big big moran taing to the fella from Aberdeen who picked mise agus An Cu up 5mins after i hit the road

   It must be something about these hills    I did the 6 a few years back and managed to turn six into seven as I returned to Cairn of Claise a tad sooner than I had expected, rather than go from Tolmount to Cairn an Tuirc   And I managed that is good visibility.

Looks like you enjoyed your day though, despite the navigational issues

Ask Graeme D about confusion on these hills or Scoobie? The rolling similarities could see you going round Munro purgatory....getting a lift back to the car - bonus!

Ah these hills, :( these hills :( these hills :( incase you hav'nt noticed im crying uncontrolably now!
I find the White Mounth Platea has the same detramental effect on sence of direction as the Cuillin have a negative effect
on magnetic north on compasses!
I have compleated all of these hills since my escapade, and to be honest i'm not sure if i'll ever go back on my own again

Jeez read your piece back when you posted ! ..... a refresher there reminded me, aye it's easy to switch off and get into grief, our mistake caused us an hour and mild amusement, no more, but served as a wee reminder

When im out myself its belt n braces with company i tend to switch off :)

I m taking the wife there for a wee walk next time
