Its been over two months since i bagged my first Munro. Been using my time wisely though doing several Corbetts and generally trying not to kill myself prematurely by thinking im up to climbing the big boys  Choosing Schiehallion came as a recommendation as being a fairly straighforward route and easy by Munro standards. For once i got top marks for my homework and got a rariety for me in views from the summit  For the third outing on the trot my walks have been snow free. Its as though the ice axe i bought myself after my Chonzie trip is like a magic wand when i get there by wiping out the white stuff. The only experience i've had of using it has been practising in the house. You could imagine my teenage kids reactions to that one.

The excellent path on the way up took a good bit of the strain as i found i was climbing quickly. Took my time negotiating the boulder field. Have never seen a landscape like it :? Managed to get some clear photos of the surrounding area. Was to lazy to take my map out and identify neighbouring hills.

By a country mile this has been my best walk to date. I will now sadly be in withdrawal till i bag my next one. Thankfully, i have a few holidays to use by the end of March. Cant see me sitting around and not hitting the hills :D
