Good walk for a reasonable day - it was'nt very busy. Maybe that was why the tea room (and the loos!) were closed. The paths were in good condition and not too muddy except down by the river. Lots of evidence of trees having been blown down in the recent high winds.

It's an interesting place - the first time I have been there even though I have lived close by for many years. I think it would be stunning in the snow or in autumn, so I will be back.

Nice to see this come up on the website. To be honest, I never even knew there was a country park at Dalkeith, I thought Paul had got mixed up with Vogrie Country Park, although I've never been to that either.

Looks a nice walk :D

Thanks Morag - yes its a really interesting place. Vogrie is good too, but Dalkeith Palacehas a bit more interest and is more extensive.
