Don't know why I was told to review my post. Maybe too long-winded. Anyway, interesting to read your report and view your excellent pictures which rekindled memories of my own ascent in June 1976. I found some parts of the ridge quite narrow for me and there was a frustrating descent via the north ridge of Dhearg involving a deer fence and an awkward passage through a forest, but a good day's bag with the added bonus of a pair of ring ouzels of which I have only seen three since! Doing it under snow would have been a bit out of my class but obviously no problem to you.

Nice one RH
Enjoyed the report...pretty good for a basic camera phone
Did these in the days before I bothered about taking a camera up the hills (still regularly forget), so your photos are more than good enough to remind me of the walk..(including having to backtrack out of a tree-clad gorge).

I think you should use your phone camera more often. There's some belters in there.

thanks again everyone - much appreciated :D

pigeon - agreed - Ikea isn't my favourite place but it was the only place which stocked what we needed :?

I'm beginning to get a camera complex - getting worried that many prefer the photos from my basic phone....
