Route description: Beinn a' Ghlò

Munros included on this walk: Bràigh Coire Chruinn-bhalgain, Càrn Liath (Beinn a' Ghlò), Càrn nan Gabhar

Date walked: 12/03/2012

Time taken: 7.06 hours

Distance: 22.63 km

Ascent: 1333m

The team today was me, Alec, Scott(nobabody) and Bear the dug

Left the house at 6am up the A9 the day looked good wi nice blue skies most of the way up there got to the carpark at loch moraig

the summit of Carn Liath had a wee cloud cover on it

we were on the track at 8.05am good walk to the hut that sits at the bottom of Carn Liath went to look inside but it was shut.

Made good time up Carn Liath but the path is quite steep in places

looking back to the carpark
at around the 700mtr mark the clag rolled in :( and that was that all the way top the summit sat on the top for 10 mins

so along we went the ridge walk would have had some nice views but not today then onto Braigh Coire Chruinn-bhalgain, the clag was with us to the summit of Braigh Coire Chruinn-bhalgain

Had lunch here and sat around to see if the clag would lift it was trying its best

the path down then up to Carn nan Gahber was straight forward enough

the summit was still in cloud so on we went the summit, is right at the end of the plateau, the sun was trying to come out as best it could

Had the rest of our lunch then made our way down for the long walk back to the car the path on the way was quite boggy in place's

Looking back to Airgiod Bheinn
All in all it was a magic day the weather was good nae rain or tuff winds.

Looking for a route with 4 hills in it but not to long a walk :lol: Hopfully get to the 100 mark next week any idea's

Great report Quoman. I've not done this round yet, but it's in my plans for soonish :D Can't think of an 4 you've not done that isn't far :lol:

Aye it looked to be a good day from the carpark still had a cracking day. Ohh and Bears done 73 munro's

Pity about the lack of views quoman,good hills these.What about lochnagar,5 there ,take you up to and past the big 100 :lol: :clap:

Might split the 4 into 2rounds of 2.
